Environmentally responsible printing and sustainability of the products used in today’s complex print jobs are two important challenges faced by our customers. Professional Printers is committed to providing state-of-the-art, environmentally friendly products that deliver maximum performance and quality to the marketplace, while minimizing any negative impact on the environment.
Our offset printing inks contain vehicle systems based on 100% naturally renewable materials. These products achieve the quality features of standard offset printing inks, and meet the environmental expectations of our customers at the same time. They are created using vegetable oils such as linseed and soy, and are therefore extremely low VOC.
In fact, our inks go beyond what is required to be considered “green” and “environmentally friendly.” Our choice, K+E Novavit F 918 Supreme Bio, is one of a series of vegetable- based inks distributed and mixed by our long-time partner, American Printing Ink. This outstanding ink earned NAPIM’s bio-renewable certification rating of 70 (out of 80), and are used for our process inks as well as our PMS mixing colors.
To complete the cycle of sustainability at Professional Printers, all used or discarded ink products are collected and reconstituted to be used as fuel oil, primarily for the ceramics industry.
Customers who use these products can, with confidence, position themselves as environmentally responsible buyers.
