We are a privately-owned graphic arts company with over 120 dedicated team members. Serving a diverse client base, we operate from two facilities in the greater Columbia, SC area.
ACCOUNT MANAGER
Professional Printers is currently seeking an experienced candidate to add to our Account Manager team. Our account managers are required to skillfully handle many ongoing projects while continuously providing outstanding customer service. They must have a positive outlook and be able to collaborate adeptly with others.
This is a fast-paced, highly detail-oriented position that requires someone to work efficiently with our clients, sales team, preproduction and production departments. Candidates must have excellent communication skills and be proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
Minimum 2 years in a comparable role in the printing industry required.
Responsibilities:
-
Accurately enter new orders.
-
Effectively communicate with customers, sales representatives and production on delivery dates, potential delays, proofing issues and other vital job production related information.
-
Process and communicate all specification changes to jobs.
-
Document all pertinent job information in job activity database.
-
Complete timely and accurate estimate requests.
-
Review quotes and send quote letters to clients and/or sales representative.
-
Review proofs for accuracy and coordinate delivery of proofs to client.
-
Communicate with production dept. on schedules or meetings as needed.
-
Proofread and quality control projects as needed.
-
Promptly respond to customer phone calls and emails.
-
Prioritize providing an outstanding customer experience above all else.
Requirements:

Strong project management and multi-tasking skills.

Excellent organizational skills with extreme attention to detail.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite & Adobe Acrobat software.

Able to effectively communicate with a variety of personalities using diplomacy and tact.

Resourcefulness and demonstrated ability to solve problems.

Ability to work independently under minimum supervision.
Education/Experience:

Minimum 2 years in a comparable role in the printing industry required.

High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
This is a full-time, first shift, on-site position in our West Columbia facility. Normal schedule is Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.

DIGITAL OPERATOR I
Responsibilities:

Set-up and process bindery functions on digital/offset jobs (cut, fold, stitch, etc.)

Monitor quality of job output for accuracy and finishing quality.

Understand and perform troubleshooting procedures on finishing and printer equipment such as Stitcher (multi-unit), Paper Folder, Table-top folders, Guillotine Paper Cutter, Envelope Printer.

Read and understand job requirements from job tickets.
-
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
-
Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
-
Understand and input Data Collection Software (time clock/job ticket management).
Requirements:

Ability to learn quickly in a deadline-driven environment.
-
Ability to set up digital print and finishing equipment, run jobs to meet quality expectations and perform quality control procedures.
-
Ability to handle multiple changing priorities and work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
-
Ability to produce product accurately according to client specifications.
-
Ability to work productively independently and as a team.
-
Willingness to cross-train on other digital production equipment and work with lead digital press operator(s) in press operation and maintenance.

Strong mechanical aptitude with demonstrated troubleshooting skills.
-
Competent math and problem-solving skills required.

Ability to regularly and frequently lift up to 25 pounds and, occasionally, lift materials up to 50 pounds.

Must be willing to accommodate a flexible schedule, including overtime &/or weekend hours when required.
Education/Experience:

High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.

Demonstrated ability to produce quality products according to specifications.
-
General printing experience strongly preferred.

Ability to work independently under minimum supervision.
